Innovation, what is it actually?
Companies like to adorn themselves with the attribute "innovative". There is no doubt that there is agreement that innovation is always understood to mean something new. One often wants to understand innovation as an idea or a patent. The actual claim of innovation, on the other hand, is not the idea generation. An idea does not even have to have a particular depth. The real claim, the hurdle of innovation, is the new, to lead innovation to economic success. This is impressively underlined by the number of patent applications and how many of them become economic success. The success rate is in the per mil range.
